How Do I Replace The Orifice Nozzle on my SurfaceMaxx Foam Cannon?
How to Replace the Orifice in Your SurfaceMaxx Foam Cannon
Remove the Flow Adjustment Knob
Use a screwdriver to unscrew and remove the top adjustment knob from the foam cannon body.
Secure the Top Assembly
Place the brass top assembly (where the knob was attached) in a vise to hold it steady. Be careful not to overtighten and damage the brass.
Apply Heat to the Inlet Plug Area
Use a heat gun or blowtorch to apply heat directly to the area where the inlet plug threads into the brass body. Avoid heating the fan control knob, plastic bottle, and any other components.
Heat for 15–20 Seconds
Apply heat for about 15–20 seconds. This helps loosen any thread sealant inside.
Remove the Inlet Plug
Using a 14mm wrench, unscrew the inlet plug.
• If it doesn’t move easily, reapply heat for another 15–20 seconds and try again.
• Repeat the heating process until the plug can be unscrewed.
Swap the Orifice
Inside the opening, you'll see the brass orifice. Use a flathead screwdriver to remove it.
• Insert the replacement orifice and screw it into place securely.
Reassemble the Foam Cannon
Reattach the inlet plug and tighten with a wrench until snug.
Reinstall the top knob by screwing it back into position.
Tip: Be sure all connections are tight and leak-free before using the foam cannon again.
